THE ADVERTISEMENT OF TODAY

As advertiser Howard Gossage said in the past, “Nobody reads ads. People read what interests them. Sometimes it’s an ad”. Today, people search for content more than form. They want to be captivated by a subject. That’s why companies need to work twice as hard to attract and build a target audience. Good content is what creates a relationship between a brand and its customers. It’s important to present ads in a good context, in order to attract and not to bother the potential customer.

Considering the fact people are more and more suspicious about what they see online, they tend to believe user generated content the most. Perfect! That is actually what native advertising is all about. Well, partly…

SO, WHAT IS NATIVE AD?

The term ‘native adverting’ appeared at the end of 2012 in the United States. Publicists and advertisers exposed the fact usual banners and other advertising formats were becoming obsolete. That’s when the idea of native advertising emerged.

Native Ad

Paid media where the ad experience follows the natural form and function of the user experience in which it is placed. When the ad is not intrusive, a user is more likely to become a customer.

This way, you gain valuable visibility by really adapting to your audience. Just like a chameleon!

In-stream videos, sponsored tweets or Instagram posts are all native advertising content, presented almost seamlessly when you consume your content.

Efficiency and subtlety are the keys to your success.

Hey there,

Great news! We’ve released two brand new features; you’re now able to create a Whichit Carousel as well as a Whichit Survey super easily all by yourself!

Whichit Carousel

The Whichit Carousel is a single embedded Whichit Post, which will be automatically changed if the customer is visiting your page again or if the page is refreshed. That means that you can deliver multiple Whichit Posts by using just one embed code.

How?
Go to your Whichit Home Page, click on ‘Create’ and choose ‘Carousel’. You will be asked to choose the single Whichit Posts you want to integrate in the Carousel, which you have created earlier.

Whichit Survey

The Whichit Survey allows you to deliver multiple questions in an interactive image based Whichit. So, you get to ask your audience the really important questions you want to know the answers to… or something fun to engage with them. Based on how they answer you can segment your audience by their preferences and automatically serve them the correct commercial message. (You can also use our new software integrations to help you retarget them through your different channels!)

How?
Go to your Whichit Home Page, click on ‘Create’ and choose ‘Survey’. You will be asked to choose the single Whichit Posts you want to integrate into the Survey, which you have created before. Afterwards you’re able to choose your Engage Card in the normal way. That’s it, done!

That sounds great, doesn’t it? It’s super quick and easy and you can find out so much information about your audience!

The proof of the pudding is in the eating, so go for it!

Stay tuned,
The Whichit Team

Business Leaders Reception At 10 Downing Street

Whichit’s CEO, Jonathan Gan, was invited as a representative of the technology and startup sector for a Business Leaders Reception at 10 Downing Street, with the honour of being hosted by the UK Prime Minister Mr. David Cameron. There were representatives from different aspects of the UK private sector – from entrepreneurs to investors and CEOs as well as from the media and government.

The PM spoke about the importance of business development and the government’s support for this, and expressed his gratitude for the role those in attendance had played in this initiative.

During the event, Jonathan spoke to business leaders such as Brent Hoberman and Steven Cohen as well as the Prime Minister himself. They discussed Whichit’s move from Israel to Great Britain and Jonathan took the opportunity to personally thank the Prime Minister for the Sirius Program and all the support Whichit has received from UK Trade & Investment.

Overall it was a great evening that once again demonstrated the impact high growth companies such as Whichit, have on the UK economy. We’ve demonstrated our significant contribution to the business sector while thriving in a great ecosystem provided by the Innovation Warehouse and Accelerator Academy. It was heartwarming to view the level of attention and support the government places on strengthening the technology sector and an honour to Whichit to be part of it.

You Won’t Believe What We Saw At Mobile World Congress 2015

You Won’t Believe What We Saw At Mobile World Congress 2015

As Mobile World congress 2015 comes to an end, Whichit‘s team took a step back to think about what 2015 holds for all of us in terms of innovation. One things for sure… The Internet of Things stole the show.

It was overwhelming to see all the products that will one day control our lives all presented in one hall in Mobile World Congres. Walking between the stands gave us the feeling that one day everything we wear and do will be connected, from wearable tech such as smart watches, glasses and bracelets, to home products such as Ikea’s light charger, where by just simply putting your phone on your bedside at night will charge it. The feeling became stronger as we realised this is not the future but it is right now.
