Whichit awarded Innovate UK Smart funding award
Whichit has done it again!
Whichit has been awarded £246,426 in funding from the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK as part of SMART 2014-2015 scheme competition. The competition is aimed at SMEs carrying out R&D, which offers potentially significant rewards and could stimulate UK economic growth.
Whichit’s received the funding award to develop its DART (Dynamic Profiling for Targeted Communications) programme. The funds will help Whichit continue to architect and build predictive models through analysing decision-making behaviours by age, gender and location. A recent winner of Facebook’s App of the Year for EMEA region, Whichit closes a loop by turning brand social media activities into revenues and enhanced analytics – in a way that consumers love.
Whichit is an addictive, decision-making tool that lets users ask and answer image-based questions and rewards them will real time feedback. Whichit aims to develop its app into a highly engaging social shopping platform where brands can show appreciation for user’s votes with money-off vouchers and a speedy route to check out.
The more users engage with the system, the more sophisticated Whichit’s ‘Preference Profiles’ become. These profiles will uncover product connections (people who liked this also liked these), brand affiliations, and how contextual factors (photographic style, models, lighting, and framing) influence decision-making.
